Our School Pond
Winter Spring
This large pond was created during the summer of 1995, to provide a valuable educational resource for the school and to improve the appearance and wildlife value of the school grounds.
Children use the pond and its surroundings, under the supervision of teachers, for many curricular subjects, and the school has developed a computer-based education pack to accompany this facility.
The project was funded by grants from English Nature and Berkshire County Council and by help in kind from the NRA.
In 2001 the school won a Mars Award for the Environment in Berkshire in the Silver Sapling Category.
